Inspector’s note: Observed packaged cheesecake and other food items displayed for customer service and not properly labeled with business name, address, ingredients, etc. Instructed manager to properly label all packaged food items displayed for customer service.

Food wasn’t protected from contamination during prep, storage, or display.

Inspector’s note: Observed food items stored on floor behind front counter, in sales, prep storage and walk-in cooler areas. Instructed manager to elevate all food items six inches off floor.

Equipment or surfaces were in poor repair or made of material that can’t be cleaned.

Inspector’s note: Observed inadequate stoppers for 3-compartment sink. Instructed manager to provide adequate stoppers and maintain.

Inspector’s note: Observed soiled cardboard trays on chip display shelves. Instructed manager to replace soiled trays and maintain.

Dishwashing equipment wasn’t set up, maintained, or used correctly.

Inspector’s note: Observed no written alternative procedure for manual washing of multi-use equipment too large to fit in 3-compartment sink. Instructed manager to provide alternative written sanitizing procedure for large equipment.

Equipment and surfaces were dirty.

Inspector’s note: Observed food spills and debris on interior and exterior surfaces of prep table, cooler, slicer in prep area. Observed dust buildup on shelving units behind front counter and in sales area. Instructed manager to clean and maintain.

Toilet rooms weren’t built, stocked, or cleaned properly.

Inspector’s note: Observed no covered receptacle in staff washroom. Instructed manager to provide covered receptacle in staff washroom.
